Some of the programs and services I have found in my research that would be a good fit for my library are robotics and a 3D printing program that teaches children to code, build, and program but have one for adults. Technology is so important to learn because it is always evolving, and you need to be able to keep up and learn these programs. They are also great to put on a resume. I would also like for my library to be a safe place for children to be. We can offer snacks and homework help as well as other services if needed like counseling. I also think that adding a program where children read to senior citizens in the library. The seniors get to spend time with the children and the children can practice reading.

Two programs I would like to introduce into my library based on my research of similar libraries are.

Self-defense classes for adults and children as I believe everyone should know to defend themselves. This also helps with confidence and builds self-respect.

Kids Yoga teaches children that fitness is important and that it is okay to break and relax. This will be a fun class where kids can get some light stretching in while making new friends.

Both programs keep with our mission to bring people, information, and ideas together to enrich lives and build community because we are bringing people together to teach them something new. Teaching children to love fitness is a great lifelong hobby to have and it also keeps one healthy and active as well. Teaching adults and youth self-defense helps build a stronger community that works together to keep its citizens safe and provides a safe space to learn.
