  Promotional Ideas                             The Seattle Central Library already has a pretty big social media presence with over fifty-four thousand followers on Facebook alone. Marketing is not easy, especially nowadays with algorithms that are hard to get around. I find that word of mouth and putting up flyers, and having a social media presence works the best.  Try to branch out and use a social media platform that is not Facebook. I recommend Instagram so that way we can add fun library-related photo's along with promoting our services and programs. This will increase the number of people who follow our library and bring more patrons to use our programs and services.  As someone who used to spend a lot of time in the library before they had to close due to COVID-19. I would take classes and attend author signings and take my children to Story Time. I am always recommending to people audiobooks and Ebooks I have taken out from the library that I enjoyed reading.   The Seattle Central Library specialized programs and services are now online due to COVID-19. Services COVID-19 resources - resources gathered by our staff to support the communities most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis Election resources - Find out what you need to know about voting and elections Immigrant and refugee services - You can study for citizenship exams and understand your rights as an American citizen.   Reference services: The hours of operation are from 12pm -6pm Tuesday -Saturday, and they are closed on Sunday and Monday, but the book return is open from 10am -6pm. But due to COVID, the library is closed, but they do offer curbside pickup. R eference books may not be checked out while Library buildings remain closed. I nterlibrary Loan requests are  temporarily limited to one item per patron per week .                                                                                                      Central Library Demographic        The Central Library opened May 23, 2004. The 11-floor building contains an innovative "Books Spiral," a 275-seat auditorium, and open spaces where patrons can meet, study, search the web or read. The Library has centers for children, teens and adult readers, along with expanded collections and a large computer lab. The library has attracted people from all over the world and has more than 8,000 visitors a day. The  Central Library's program area is 362,987 square feet. Designed with growth in mind, the Central Library has a capacity for more than 1.45 million books and materials. Special Collections     The Central Library offers four different special collections.
